Packers' Harlan To Delay Retirement As CEO

AP - Bob Harlan will delay his retirement as the Packers' chief executive officer because hand-picked successor John Jones is taking a leave for personal reasons.

Jones, president and chief operating officer, was to have taken over for Harlan next week. The Packers did not elaborate on the reasons Saturday. Jones had open-heart surgery in June 2006.

"It's been a very difficult year but also a wonderful year in many respects," Jones said. "I need to step back and recharge my batteries." [READ]
