Eagles WR Pinkston Likely Out For Season

Philadelphia Inquirer - Wide receiver Todd Pinkston will likely sit out the 2005 season after rupturing his right Achilles tendon yesterday morning during the Eagles training camp drills.

The recovery time for such an injury typically takes 6 months or more.

"It's something that absolutely, positively needs to be fixed," he said.

Greg Lewis, who was originally slated to take over Terrell Owns spot at WR when it appeared Mr. Owens might not return, will get the nod fill in as the Eagles No. 2 receiver.

"We have a lot of confidence in Greg Lewis that was developed over last season," Reid said. "We've all seen what he can do, and we know he'll step up and do a heck of a job. [READ]
