Despite QB Pick, Eagles Tell McNabb To Not Worry

Yahoo.com - The Eagles are a team with glaring needs at defensive end, defensive back and running back, but picked Kevin Kolb, a quarterback, with the 36th overall selection in the second round.

"They had faith in my skills in what I do and I am anxious to get behind these older guys and get to learn from them over the next however long," Kolb said.

Andy Reid tried to leave a message for Donovan McNabb to not worry.

"No, I'm partial to Donovan," Reid said. "I think he's the best in the NFL. He doesn't have anything to worry about. He'll go do his job. It's strictly how the (draft) board fell. I wasn't trying to send a message or that Donovan's hurt. It's none of that. That's not what this is all about." [READ]
