Colorado Court Refuses To Hear Appeal In Mobley DUI Case

AP - Colorado's Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear an appeal from former Broncos linebacker John Mobley, who was sentenced to seven days in jail for a drunken driving conviction.

Defense attorneys had implied during Mobley's trial in April 2004 that his conviction was the result of racial profiling.

Prosecutors had said Mobley would not have to serve his sentence until his appeal was complete. It was unclear when he might be jailed.

Mobley's attorney, Harvey Steinberg, did not immediately return a call for comment. [READ]
