Saban Holds First Alabama Scrimmage

AP - There were plenty of "buts" in Nick Saban's initial evaluation of Alabama's first spring scrimmage.

The offense made some big plays in Friday's scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium, but also had a few turnovers. Several running backs made solid plays, but Jimmy Johns was held out of his second straight practice because of academics.
