Six Named To Player Advisory Council

Yahoo.com - NFL Players Association president Troy Vincent is part of a newly formed advisory council that will report to commissioner Roger Goodell on a regular basis.

Goodell and NFLPA executive director Gene Upshaw announced on Friday the members of the council that were chosen to discuss competition on the field, player safety, medical and health issues, player conduct, retired player issues, and other matters.

"The players are a great resource for our game and this is a direct way of getting their input," Upshaw said. "This is a good example of how the new commissioner is leading through strong communication. We appreciate what he doing."

The six members of the council are Vincent, Donovin Darius of the Jaguars, Tony Richardson of the Vikings, Jeff Saturday of the Colts, Takeo Spikes of the Eagles and James Thrash of the Redskins. [READ]
