The signing marks the latest move in what has been a busy weekend for the Buccaneers, who signed free agent quarterback Jeff Garcia on Saturday and re-signed cornerback Phillip Buchanon a day earlier.
Askew, 26, was used primarily as a lead blocker in his four-year NFL career with the New York Jets. The 233-pound fullback ran for 11 yards on six carries and hauled in nine catches for 50 yards in 13 games last season. [READ] |
