Yahoo.com - Tampa Bay coach Jon Gruden liked the versatility that Phillip Buchanon provided.

The Buccaneers on Friday re-signed Buchanon, a cornerback and kick returner, at undisclosed financial terms.

Buchanon, 26, signed with the Buccaneers on October 17 after being released by the Texans. He started four of 10 games with the Buccaneers and recorded two interceptions and eight passes defensed.

Buchanon also returned 14 punts for 95 yards and five kickoffs for 106 yards.

"Phillip was a nice addition for us," Gruden said. "He helps us in three different spots as a defensive back and with the ability to return punts and kicks." [READ]
