Broncos To Go After Garcia

Philadelphia Inquirer - Two league sources said on Saturday night that the Denver Broncos could pursue Jeff Garcia in the free-agent market opens Friday.

Steve Baker, the agent for Garcia, said Friday that if the two sides had not struck a deal before the free-agent period opened, the Eagles did not expect to re-sign his client. With veteran Jake Plummer expected to be released by the Broncos, they are in the market for a backup to second-year quarterback Jay Cutler, who started the final five games of his rookie season.
