Pioli Plans To Stay With Patriots

Yahoo.com - Ernie Accorsi is stepping down as GM of the Giants on January 15. Scott Pioli will not be his successor.

Pioli, the vice president of player personnel of the Patriots for the last seven years, confirmed on Monday he had been contacted by the Giants to discuss a front office position with the team.

"I am very honored to be granted the opportunity to discuss a potential position with the Giants," Pioli said in a statement. "After careful consideration, and for personal reasons, I am continuing in my current role with the
