Taylor Wants Extension With Jacksonville

Times-Union - Fred Taylor, who is under contract for the 2007 season at a $2.55 million base salary, said Thursday he wants a contract extension in the $5 million range.

Although $5 million is the average salary for the top 10 highest-paid running backs, the Jaguars refused to give him a new deal last year and haven't indicated if they plan to negotiate a new one next year. [READ]
