Stokely Placed On IR For Rest Of Season

NFL.com - The Colts have been without wide receiver Brandon Stokley throughout much of the season.

On Thursday, it became official:

They?ll be without him the rest of the season, too.

Stokley, an eight-year veteran and the third receiver in the Colts? three-receiver offensive packages, was placed on injured reserve after sustaining an Achilles injury in the Colts? 44-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars this past Sunday. He will miss the remainder of the season.

?It?s very tough for him and the team,? Colts quarterback Peyton Manning said as the AFC South-leading Colts (10-3) prepared to play the playoff-contending Cincinnati Bengals (8-5) at the RCA Dome Monday at 8:30 p.m.

?He worked so hard to get back and no question he was playing in pain out there the past two weeks. He wanted to be out there for his team.? [READ]
