Jonas Gray had 38 carries for 199 yards and four touchdowns in the New England Patriots' win at the Indianapolis Colts.

Gray was on the Patriots' practice squad for the first six weeks of the season, which meant he could have been claimed and signed by any team.

“Obviously we didn’t want to expose him like that, but we did what we felt was best,” Bill Belichick said.

“Real productive player at Notre Dame who had a knee injury,” Belichick said. “Smart. Runs hard. His game is what we saw tonight.”
