Rutgers' Schiano The Front-Runner To Replace Coker

Sun-Sentinel - Rutgers coach Greg Schiano appears to be among the front-runners to replace Larry Coker in Miami.

Also identified as a candidate is UM's defensive coordinator, Randy Shannon, who will receive serious consideration.

"It's the best job in the country," Athletic Director Paul Dee boasted about the opening created by Friday's firing of Larry Coker.

"This is as fine a job as you can have because when the success comes, the success is tremendous," Dee said. "It's a hard job. This is not a job for the feeble. This is a job for somebody that likes coaching college football, that is excited by college football." [READ]
