With Alex Boone continuing to hold out, multiple teams are preparing to approach the San Francisco 49ers about a trade for the guard.

Boone signed a five-year deal in 2011 when he was a backup and the contract was essentially for backup money. Boone has since developed into one of the better guards in the NFL.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants are among the teams that can use a guard.

Joe Looney is working with the first unit in Boone's place and the 49ers would prefer to get a deal done.
