Preston Brown, a third round pick this year for the Buffalo Bills, may immediately replace Kiko Alonso this season on the weakside.

Alonso is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Brown played inside linebacker at Louisville, but is versatile enough that he was used in offseason practices at nickel linebacker.

NFL Media's Mike Mayock said during the draft that after watching Brown's tape, "I thought he could play three downs. He's a bit of a throwback type of player."
