Gore Moves Over To Rosenhaus

San Francisco Chronicle - Frank Gore, who is signed with the 49ers through 2007, parted with agent David Dunn, who is about to serve a two-year suspension for tampering with the clients of his former partner, Leigh Steinberg.

With both sides eager to extend Gore's contract, the running back needed new representation and the running back decided to go with Drew Rosenhaus.

Coach Mike Nolan said the 49ers' strategy is to sign promising players before their contracts expire, assuring the players get their money faster and locking them in for several years at a reasonable price.

With Gore's two shoulder injuries last season and his two major knee surgeries in college, the 49ers likely won't open negotiations until Gore proves he can finish a season.

"I don't even think about it," Gore said Friday. "I let my agent handle that. I'm just focused on football." [READ]
