Vermeil Denies Arizona Rumor

Philadelphia Daily News - A rumor popped up this week that Dick Vermeil could be in line to replace Dennis Green as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.

"It's not true as far as I know," he said by phone from his 114-acre Chester County spread. "I don't know anything about it. No one's contacted me, nor should they. It's behind me. I don't want to get back into coaching."

Even in retirement, Vermeil has a full plate with paid speaking engagements and lots of charity work.

"It's going well," he said. "You get caught between doing the things you get paid to do and the charity work that you want to do. All of the things I haven't been able to help with since I've been gone. I'm catching up with those kind of obligations." [READ]
