Packers Sign LB Kurt Cambell

ESPN - The Packers signed linebacker Kurt Campbell, their seventh-round selection in the April draft, on Wednesday.

Campbell, the first player drafted out of the University at Albany (N.Y.) became the fourth pick to sign with the Packers, joining Junius Coston, William Whitticker and Michael Montgomery.

Campbell started his last two seasons at rover, a combination linebacker/safety spot, for the Great Danes after playing two years at cornerback. He will report with other rookies on July 25 for training camp.

The Packers also announced they waived linebacker John Garrett and safety Chonn Lacey, and activated cornerback Chris Day from the NFL Europe League injured list. [READ]
