Rivers Has Bruised Throwing Shoulder

NFL.com - Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers slightly bruised his throwing shoulder when he was sacked late in the second quarter of Saturday night's exhibition game against Seattle.

Rivers had been scheduled to play into the third quarter. But he was the last player to return to the sideline after halftime, escorted by trainer James Collins. His right shoulder was wrapped and it appeared he was holding his arm close to his side.

Rivers was sacked by Craig Terrill and fumbled the ball, which was recovered by Darryl Tapp. [READ]
