LeSean McCoy's rookie contract will expire after the season.
The Eagles running back will make a paltry $615,000 in base salary. He earned first-team All-Pro honors while leading the NFL in touchdowns in 2011.
Philadelphia previously had an extension offer on the table worth $6 million annually. That won't cut it, but the Philadelphia Daily News reports that "everybody involved" in the McCoy extension talks is optimistic an agreement will be consummated before training camp.
