Colts Hire Manusky As D-Coordinator

Indianapolis Star - The Colts have hired longtime assistant Greg Manusky as their defensive coordinator.

"The ink's dry on that," general manager Ryan Grigson said.

Manusky has the flexibility of overseeing a 3-4 or a 4-3 defense.

"It's all part of the philosophy of not trying to fit a square peg into a round hole," Grigson said. "He lines right up with that. He's a football guy, passionate, fire in his eyes. If you sit with him for two seconds, you see he's an intense football guy.

"He's ready to come in and do some great things for us."

Manusky was San Diego's defensive coordinator this season. He held the same position with San Francisco from 2007-10. Prior to that, Manusky was linebackers coach with the Chargers (2002-06) and Washington (2001). [READ]
