Roman On The Verge Of Signing With San Francisco

Oakland Tribune - The 49ers appear on the verge of signing former Green Bay safety Mark Roman, who started all but one game for the Packers the past two seasons.

ESPN.com reported early Saturday the 29-year-old Roman has agreed to terms with the 49ers. Roman, on the outs with Packers management this off-season, was released by Green Bay on Thursday. Joel Segal, Roman's agent, did not return a phone call. [READ]
