Culpepper Cleared To Play
26th July, 2006 - 4:06 pm
Sun-Sentinel - Dolphins starting quarterback Daunte Culpepper has received medical clearance to practice when the team opens training camp Saturday, coach Nick Saban said Wednesday.

Culpepper tore three ligaments last October while playing for the Minnesota Vikings.

"Daunte will do the same thing in this camp as every other player relative to the workload he is able to manage," said Saban, whose team acquired Culpepper in a March trade with the Vinkings. "We'll try to manage with him as we go through this. We don't hit the quarterback anyway (in practice), so contact is not an issue."

It remains unclear as to whether or not Culpepper will be ready for Dolphins' regular-season opener. [READ]
