ESPN - Free-agent punter Eddie Johnson, a former Vikings draft choice, was signed by the Jaguars. The Jags also released punter David Brader, who signed as a free agent last month.

Johnson, 24, will compete with incumbent punter Chris Hanson in training camp.

In 2003, Johnson averaged 39.1 yards gross and 33.2 yards net for the Vikings on 56 punts. The Vikings selected the former Idaho State standout in the sixth round of the '03 draft but released him the following spring. Johnson did not play in the league in 2004. He signed with the Giants as a free agent in January but was waived two months later. [READ]
