Argos President Says Williams Will Return
24th July, 2006 - 7:29 pm
Canadian Press - According to the Toronto Argonauts, the CFL has not seen the last of Ricky Williams.

Williams underwent surgery late Sunday night to repair a fracture to his left forearm.

Williams, 29, joined the Argos in May after being suspended for the entire 2006 season by the NFL.

Toronto signed Williams to a one-year deal after first getting permission from the Miami Dolphins, to whom Williams remains under contract for two more years.

Argos president Keith Pelley said he expects Williams to return to Toronto's lineup this season after sitting out four to six weeks to let the arm heal.

"We're very confident that Ricky will be back, it's just a matter of when," Pelley said.

"I've not spoken to anyone with the Dolphins but their medical people have talked to our medical people about Ricky's injury." [READ]
