Woodson Entering His Most Critical Season

NFL.com - Raiders' defensive back Charles Woodson was never going to be moved anywhere and he is now entering a critical season that will shape his financial future.

Woodson's one-year deal will be up at season's end. In order for the Raiders to slap the franchise tag on him again, they would have to give him a 120 percent raise on $10.5 million. It's unlikely the Raiders would be willing to carry a $12.6 million cap charge on Woodson in 2006 and so he will be finally getting that long term deal next spring. [READ]
