Redskins Sign Safety Dixon

ESPN - The Washington Redskins signed safety Tony Dixon for a one-year deal reported to be worth $540,000. With current safety Sean Taylor currently involved in legal entanglements, Dixon?s signing is most likely an insurance policy in case Taylor is not available next season.

A four-year veteran, Dixon had played his entire career with the Dallas Cowboys, who chose him in the second round of the 2001 draft. As an unrestricted free agent this spring, Dixon drew late interest from several teams, and worked out for the 49ers last week. [READ]
