| 5th May, 2006 - 3:55 pm |  Miami Herald - Nick Saban has yet to deliver Leigh Steinberg a final decision on whether running back Ricky Williams can pursue a contract with Toronto of the Canadian Football League.
Steinberg said he had preliminary talks with Argonauts general manager Adam Rita, but was waiting to talk further with Williams. Williams is currently teaching a class in yoga and holistic medicine in Grass Valley, Calif.
Rita said Thursday that Williams could make approximately $300,000 in base pay and incentives.
''He's not going to be the highest-paid player in the league or anything like that,'' Rita said. ``But we have an opportunity here for him to play, stay in shape and make some money.'' [READ] |
