Colts Could Let Brackett Hit Market

Sports Illustrated - The Colts don't have a history of throwing a lot of money at linebackers and Gary Brackett could be a hot option on the free agent market this offseason.

Brackett, 29, was the team's defensive captain this past season.

Brackett sounds like he's seeking big bucks. He accepted a fairly modest contract from Indianapolis a few years ago.

With no cap issues to worry about the Colts could move quickly to re-sign him, but Don Banks of Sports Illustrated writes that it's more likely that they'll allow him to find out what he's worth on the open market. [READ]
