49ers Interested In Sharing Stadium With Raiders

RealGM Staff Report - 49ers president Jed York was asked about the possibility of sharing a stadium with the Oakland Raiders in the Bay Area during an interview with KNBR.

"Sharing a stadium at a very high level makes a lot of sense," said York.

"We've carved out in our deal that we can potentially have two stadiums in Santa Clara."

York continued and talked about the possibility of building a stadium where the Oakland Coliseum currently exists if the 49ers are unable to successfully build their stadium in Santa Clara.

"If we could do a joint stadium in Oakland as an alternative, it is something that I would at least explore."

The Giants and Jets have successfully shared a stadium for several decades and have built a new stadium together in New Jersey. [READ]
