Petition: Keep Johnson From Chiefs Rushing Record

ESPN - Fans of the Chiefs are petitioning to keep running back Larry Johnson from eclipsing the team's all-time rushing record.

Johnson is just 75 yards from the mark.

An online petition started by Kansas City fans is asking general manager Scott Pioli to deactivate Johnson and keep him on the sideline so he cannot pass Priest Holmes for the record.

"While we are thankful for his service, we feel that Larry has been a black eye on the organization," the petition reads.

As of Wednesday afternoon ET, at least 1,400 signatures had been collected. [READ]
