Chiefs Let Receiver Morton Loose

St. Paul Pioneer Press - The Kansas City Chiefs dropped veteran wide receiver Johnnie Morton on Thursday. The Chiefs wanted to cut Morton?s $3 million contract, a move Morton refused. As a result, the Chiefs asked Morton to stay away from workouts.

"We appreciate Johnnie Morton's effort during his tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs," Chiefs president Carl Peterson said in a statement. "We wish him the best in the future." [READ]
