Larry Johnson Assault Case Dismissed

ESPN - An assault case was dismissed against Chiefs running back Larry Johnson, who had been accused of shoving a woman in a bar.

The case was thrown out Tuesday, municipal court administrator Bernard Schneider said Wednesday. He was unable to provide further information, and a message left with Johnson's attorney was not immediately returned.

A woman from Overland Park, Kan., had contended that Johnson shoved her at a Kansas City bar. The woman said she had been involved with the player for more than two years.

The case was being watched by prosecutors in Johnson County, Kan., who could reinstate a 2003 charge accusing Johnson of slapping a woman in his Leawood home and threatening her with a gun. [READ]
