NFL Wanted $70K From White To Change Number

Tennessean - Titans running back LenDale White wanted to switch from number 25 to 21 this season, but the NFL's demands were too high.

White claims that the NFL told him he'd have to buy all the Reebok merchandise that had his 25 printed on it. The Tennessean reports that the cost would have been between $65,000 and $70,000.

"That's a number I've wanted my whole life. So I think it would look perfect," White said of is keeping 25. "Since I lost a lot of weight I would probably look like Deion [Sanders] in his prime." [READ]
