Jenkins Sees Himself As Starting CB In Dallas
1st July, 2009 - 5:05 pm
Dallas Morning News - Mike Jenkins considers himself the Cowboys' starting right cornerback, according to his blog.

Throughout OTAs, Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick split work with the first team while competing for the starting role.

"Heading into training camp, I'm the starter at right cornerback, and my job is to maintain that position," Jenkins' blog post read. "It's my job to lose, but there's a guy behind me with nothing to lose. If he makes a mistake, it's not going to cause him to lose his job. If I make a mistake, the coaches are going to take a long, hard look at me in that position."

Scandrick's agent, Rob Slavin, said Tuesday that Dallas has yet to make a decision.

"That's how they [Cowboys coaches] left it," Slavin said. "All people have to do is watch last year's film, and [Scandrick] is only getting bigger, stronger and faster." [READ]
