Source: Attorney Seeks Way For Burress To Play

ESPN - The attorney for Plaxico Burress is working hard to find a negotiated settlement that would allow the wide receiver to play in 2009.

In order for Burress to play this season there would have to be either a plea deal with minimal jail time or a postponement of the trial until after the 2009 season.

"Right now, everything is speculation, but I will know more on Monday," Burress' lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said Friday. [READ]
