Bears Win Eliminates Surprising Vikings From Playoff Contention

St. Paul Pioneer Press - After starting the season so poorly behind the arm of quarterback Daunte Culpepper, the Minnesota Vikings went on to win 6-games straight after their MVP was lost for the season. With last night?s 30-23 loss to the Ravens, combined with the Bears victory over the Packers, the Vikings have seen their wild-card hopes disappear.

"You start off with five losses in the first half of the season, it's going to be hard," free safety Darren Sharper said. "We tried.

"It hurts because I came here to make the playoffs. We still had a shot. We just didn't make enough plays in a tough environment against a pretty good team." [READ]
