| 20th December, 2005 - 2:18 pm |  ESPN - When coach Tony Dungy acknowledged on Sunday that he would use "all" of the Indianapolis Colts' roster in the final two games of the regular season, he might not have been speaking just in the abstract.
A spate of late-season injuries, the most serious to starting right offensive tackle Ryan Diem, will force the Colts coach to mine the resources of his depth chart for Saturday's road game at Seattle and a home game against Arizona on New Year's Day.
The injury to Diem will mean a reshuffled offensive line, perhaps even for the playoffs.
A five-year veteran who has started all 14 regular-season games, Diem suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee during Sunday's loss to San Diego, and he will miss at least the final two games of the year. Such sprains typically do not dictate surgery but do require about a month of treatment and rest. [READ] |
