Cardinals Sign New Kicker

AP - The Arizona Cardinals signed kicker Nick Novak on Friday and released linebacker Isaac Keys.

Novak kicked in five games for the Washington Redskins this season and was released on Nov. 5. He made 5-of-7 field goals and all 15 extra points in his time with the Redskins.

Novak was in training camp with the Chicago Bears this season as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland. He was released Aug. 29, then claimed by the Dallas Cowboys, who released him on Sept. 3.

Novak's signing came after Arizona's Neil Rackers, who has kicked 32-of-33 field goals this season, tore his left calf muscle in practice on Thursday. Rackers is expected to miss at least three games. [READ]
