Raiders Want To See McFadden Sooner
18th December, 2008 - 11:59 am
Sacramento Bee - In last week's 49-26 loss to New England, Darren McFadden didn't touch the ball until the Raiders trailed 21-0.

JaMarcus Russell also played his best against the Patriots after McFadden became a part of the offense.

Head coach Tom Cable wouldn't say if starting McFadden with tailback Justin Fargas, as he did in the first two games of the season, would be an option Sunday when the Raiders host the Houston Texans.

"We'll see," Cable said.

Russell wouldn't mind seeing McFadden earlier.

"A lot of people have probably been talking about it," Russell said. "When the ball is in No. 20's hands, it is fun to watch. I'm pretty sure (Cable) might work on getting him some touches early in the game and go from there. Because once he got the ball in his hands last week, you saw some turning points in the game."
