Rams' Jackson: I Have To Take Care Of Ball

St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Rams' running back Steven Jackson admitted that he needs to take better care of the football after fumbling twice against the Cardinals on Sunday.

"He'll tell me to keep my head up, but make sure that I take care of the ball," Jackson said of a phone conversation with his father on Sunday night. "That's what a running back has to do."

Jackson lost both his fumbles in the third quarter against Arizona.

"I was trying to make things happen. But that's still Football 101 for running backs: protect the ball," Jackson added. "I was fighting for extra yards, and the ball slipped out. There's really no excuse." [READ]
