Gore's Status In Doubt Because Of Ankle

San Jose Mercury News - 49ers' running back Frank Gore left Sunday's win over the Jets with a twisted ankle.

He was taken off the field in a cart, but X-rays revealed no fractures. Gore is considered questionable for next Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

"We'll just take it day by day," he said.

Gore needs just 22 yards to become the first San Francisco player with 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons. [READ]
