 After seventeen weeks and five hundred and twelve games the NFL?s regular season is finally complete. Only twelve teams are still alive in the race towards Super Bowl XLI, which is still a month away. Chicago, New Orleans, Baltimore and San Diego will look on this weekend as eight teams battle to make the divisional round. In the week seventeen edition of the Keyboard Quarterback I?ll provide you with my ?expert? picks for this weekend?s games and tell you know how my fantasy season ended.
Kansas City at Indianapolis
The Chiefs were lucky to get in, earning a spot because of Denver?s loss to San Francisco. Kansas City may not have looked impressive during the regular season, but their high powered offense gives them a shot against any opponent. Despite the Colts? recent struggles, they still have to command respect in the stacked AFC. The Indianapolis defense won?t be able to stop Larry Johnson, but Kansas City will strugglef to stop Peyton Manning, Joseph Addai, and Marvin Harrison. The Colts will move on without much trouble.

Dallas at Seattle
At the beginning of the season the Seahawks were picked to make their second straight Super Bowl, and then injuries derailed their chance at dominance. Just a few weeks ago the Cowboys were regarded as the best team in the NFC, and they didn?t even end up winning their division. This is a match-up of teams that could easily win a Super Bowl, but could just as easily have not made the postseason. Seattle has the home field advantage, which will be the difference in this once. Josh Brown will kick Seattle into the divisional round.
Seattle 31, Dallas 28
NY Jets at New England
This is the first of Sunday?s two divisional playoff battles. The Jets and Patriots have already met twice this season, with the both teams posting a victory. If the Jets can derail the New England running game they?ll have a legitimate shot at knocking off the AFC East champions. The Jets run defense isn?t much to rely on, but anything can happen in January. As much as I have tried to convince myself to take New York, I have to pick the Patriots because of Tom Brady.
New England 24, NY Jets 13
NY Giants at Philadelphia
Both of the regular season match-ups between these two teams were instant classics. In week fifteen the game wasn?t decided until the final moments of the fourth quarter, and back in September the Giants roared back from a huge deficit to force the game into overtime and ultimately take the win. This game could up being even closer. You got to believe the Eagles? defense will rush Eli Manning all day in hopes of forcing him to make poor decisions. If that happens all Jeff Garcia will need to do is play within himself and continue his stellar play.

My Final Fantasy Diary?
After seventeen weeks of stressful fantasy action my army of nine football teams earned me a single league championship. I won the league title in my FOX Public league with my team, That Just Happened, putting up 105.7 points against my opponent Unified, who managed only 56.2 points. Shaun Alexander and Frank Gore led me to victory, scoring over forty combined points for me in week sixteen.
In the Indy Sports Fans? League I had a horrible showing. In my two-week battle with the Portland Buddies I lost 202-161. My Riverside Pacers put up 91 points in week seventeen, but I had already dug myself too big a hole with just 70 points the previous week. Overall I?m pretty satisfied with my season. I fulfilled a good number of my goals, despite starting the season horribly. I made the playoffs in over half of my leagues, and in the end I was able to call myself a fantasy champion.
I?m already excited for the 2007 fantasy season. I?ll probably have myself committed to a dozen or so leagues before the Fourth of July. If you?re looking to fill a spot in any of your fantasy leagues, I?m game. I?ve already begun formulating my draft cheat sheets?
