2008 Season Preview: Seattle Seahawks
If Matt Hasselbeck can overcome more typically erratic WR play and the run defense holds up, Seattle should earn a playoff bye and home field advantage, which in their case is an extreme advantage and is why they are the best bet to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Seahawks' Pre-Draft Summit
Seattle fans were clearly disappointed by the abrupt downfall of the Seahawks running game, but not all fans place the blame on Shaun Alexander. The offensive line is the focus of their attention heading into the draft.
Grading The Deal: Seattle Signs Julius Jones
The decline of Shaun Alexander’s health and career seems to have forced them to retool their backfield earlier than they initially planned.
2007 Season Preview: Seattle Seahawks
Barring some key injuries, the Seahawks are still far and away the most complete team in the NFC West. Seattle has a very legit chance to win multiple playoff games and get back to the Super Bowl. I’m not buying the rise of their rivals or the downfall of a team with as much top-shelf talent as this one.
2006 NFL Team Preview: Seattle Seahawks
They’re probably not quite as good as last year, but they’re good enough to win their division by at least 5 games once again. The NFC road to the Super Bowl will go through Seattle, led by an outstanding defense and an offense that plays with a lead very well. They escape the confluence of curses and finish 13-3, and make a return visit to the Super Bowl.
Playing On Borrowed Time
Heading into this season, Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren’s name is the biggest one out on the chopping block. Having reloaded, players, coaches and fans are all trying to forget the one that got away, namely how they were one catch from a playoff win and job security for their coach.
