 | 2009 Season Preview: Atlanta Falcons The Falcons are for real, but a tough schedule could keep them from making their second consecutive playoff appearance.
 | Grading The Deal: Falcons Get Gonzalez From Chiefs The acquistion of Tony Gonzalez from the Chiefs will allow the Falcons to focus their attention on defense in this weekend's NFL Draft.
 | Atlanta Falcons Draft History Thomas Dimitroff is a native Canadian and cut his teeth under Bill Belichick and has had immediate success both through the draft and free agency.
 | Auditing The Atlanta Falcons 2008 Season Matt Ryan wasn't supposed to improve the Falcons so quickly, which means that expectations could be a little too high heading into the 2009 season.
 | Turner-Ryan Era Opens Huge A team looking for a fresh start under first year Head Coach Mike Smith scored on there first three offensive possessions and racked up 216 yards of total offense in the opening period.
 | 2008 Season Preview: Atlanta Falcons Last season represented a perfect storm of negativity and organizational chaos, perhaps more challenging than any team has ever faced. The worst is over and greener pastures lie in the distance, but the road from this manure-filled pasture to that one isn’t short and isn’t often going to be pretty.
 | Grading The Deal: Turner Will Get Big Shot For Big Money In Atlanta Michael Turner will play the role of Fred Taylor in the Falcons’ offense, with incumbent back Jerious Norwood possessing the type of speed that should allow the team to attack with both thunder and lightning.
 | Atlanta Not 'The Best Job In The NFL' After All Bobby Petrino left with the skill of a ninja wearing tap shoes. Apparently he called a 10-second staff meeting to say he was leaving, and he’d be in contact. I thought Nick Saban’s departure from Miami was bad.
 | 2007 Season Preview: Atlanta Falcons I’m flagging the Falcons as a team that could be a major blockbuster sleeper, but I think the critics are right when they portend box office disaster. The Falcons bottom out at 4-12 but get the ability to draft a new franchise QB with a top-5 draft pick and make a quick turnaround.
 | 2007 Draft Review: Atlanta Falcons The Falcons made 11 picks and at least 7 could play signifcant roles right away. Several of their early picks (Houston, Robinson, Milner) have pretty high bust potential, but with so many picks and the quality of their later picks, Atlanta can absorb that risk.
 | Only Way For A Falcons’ Turnaround Lining up Matt Schaub behind center with both Warrick Dunn and Michael Vick in the backfield is the only way the Falcons will maximize the value of their assets. Let’s say split back formation. Alge Crumpler is on Vick’s side, the left side, since Vick is left handed. Michael Jenkins and Ashley Lelie are on either side of the ball, spread out.
 | 2006 NFL Team Preview: Atlanta Falcons This defense has more talent than the 2004 unit that dominated at times and took the team to the NFC Championship game. The new safeties, Milloy and Crocker, are better than the guys they are replacing, though that’s not saying much. RB Warrick Dunn still has life in his legs and he and Pro Bowl TE Alge Crumpler are both excellent check-down receivers. QB Michael Vick is still a major weapon with his legs, and the Falcons have installed an offensive system that should take advantage of his skills. They have excellent depth and versatility at RB, and the DL and secondary both have improved depth.

 | Post-Draft Analysis: Abraham Trade Does Little For Falcons' Future This draft was decent at best for the Falcons. Jimmy Williams could end up being the only keeper out of the bunch, and I don’t feel the John Abraham trade deserves high praise. The Falcons aren’t in trouble, but could have set themselves up better for the future.
 | NFL Draft Dissection 2006 – Atlanta Falcons Atlanta traded its first round pick in order to acquire John Abraham from the New York Jets. The Falcons had owned the 15th selection, and undoubtedly that would have been far too much to pay for a player like Abraham with excessive contract demands. However, they managed to involve Denver in a deal that sent their #15 pick to the Broncos and the Broncos #29 pick to the Jets. In return the Falcons received Abraham along with Denver’s 3rd (this year) and 4th (next year) round picks.
 | Ever So, Stopping The Gradient Quarterback With Injurious Delay Seemingly, . . the Atlanta Falcons fell victim to lethargy, especially just before the lateral part of their post season, ending with an 8-8 record, not a record to feel typically, pompous about.
 | The Price Is Not Right Don't put all the blame on Price. It isn't like any of the other receivers are running circles around him. As much as Michael Vick wants to be known as a quarterback. He might have to start getting the ball to the wide receivers more. He hasn't proven at no time in his NFL Career, that he can consistently make the reads, and find the receivers.
 | Defense In Super Bowl Form Is the Falcons Defense a Super Bowl One? It shouldn't take 16 games and the playoffs to determine this. After the New England Game (5th Game), all the results should be in.
