Number of drafted Pro Bowlers: 8

(Marked by * below)

Jerry Reese replaced Ernie Accorsi as general manager of the Giants after the 2006 season. Accorsi held the position since the 1998 season when George Young retired.

Various Notes

- The number eight above includes Philip Rivers, which is of course misleading, but Eli Manning has been a fairly productive quarterback himself and made the 2008 Pro Bowl, so that's a wash.

- The Giants lost their first rounder in 2005, which became Shawne Merriman, but their 3rd round selection of Justin Tuck and Brandon Jacobs in the 4th both presented excellent value.

- The defensive line is where much of the Giants game on that side of the ball is predicated and they have drafted a disproportionate number of defensive ends.

- New York had taken more late draft fliers on receivers over the years, but have been more consciously active in taking them earlier as Amani Toomer has aged.
