Number of drafted Pro Bowlers since 1997:10

(Pro Bowlers marked by * below)

Rod Graves has been at the helm of the Cardinals since 2003 and was responsible for bringing in Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin in back-to-back drafts. Many of Arizona's 10 drafted Pro Bowlers became Pro Bowlers after leaving Arizona.

Various Notes

- Thomas Jones became a Pro Bowler in 2008 and was injury-plagued with Arizona. Using a seventh overall pick on Jones was certainly better than the Giants at 11 with Ron Dayne, though Shaun Alexander was a better value at 19 by the Seahawks.

- Bryant Johnson was their first round pick in 2003 and he of course was immediately outplayed by Boldin who was a second rounder. These two high picks at receiver didn't prevent the Cardinals from going receiver again in 2004 with Larry Fitzgerald, despite having no real young quarterbacks and Philip Rivers being on the board. Arizona's future might be a bit better with Rivers, a happy Boldin as the number one, but Fitzgerald became the best player in the game during the playoffs.

- DRC is almost certainly a Pro Bowler either this year or next and was a difference maker as a rookie.

- Leonard Davis had his Pro Bowl seasons in Dallas and how much value they got out of the 2001 second overall pick is kind of a mixed bag. Their second round pick, Kyle Vanden Bosch, also became a Pro Bowler when he left Arizona and went to Tennessee.

- Arizona also spent an early pick on tackle Levi Brown and he's been solid yet underwhelming thus far.

- The 2004 draft was truly excellent with Fitzgerald, Danrell Dockett and Karlos Dansby.
