Eagles Swoop In, Sign Asomugha
The Eagles seemingly came out of nowhere to sign Nnamdi Asomugha as they eye a trip to the Super Bowl.

The first BCS standings are out and while Oklahoma is ranked first according to the official computers, they are a distant 23rd in the Trench Counter.

The Sooners had a narrow edge in Week 1 against Utah State, handled Florida State convincingly, but then had negative scores against Air Force and Cincinnati. Their wins over their most recent two games (Texas and Iowa State) were sufficiently impressive, but they do not have the look of a team capable of going undefeated.

Looking at the big matchup this week between undefeated SEC teams in Auburn and LSU, the Trench Counter makes a compelling argument for the former. Auburn is ranked 9th while LSU is a distant 40th, having struggled against a depleted North Carolina, as well as West Virginia and Tennessee.
