Jay-Z Name-Drops Josh Norman In New Song

Jun 29, 2016 9:25 AM

Josh Norman, who signed with the Washington Redskins this offseason, was mentioned by Jay-Z in a new release over the weekend.

Jay-Z, who rapped on DJ Khaled's "I Got The Keys," mentions the cornerback around the one-minute mark.

"I been speeding through life with no safety belt.
One-on-one with the corner, with no safety help.
I perform like Josh Norman, I ain’t normal."

A few of Norman's old Carolina Panthers teammates heard the song and ribbed Norman on Twitter.

Jamison Crowder Believes Washington Has Best Receiving Corps

Jun 21, 2016 7:10 PM

The Washington Redskins, who drafted first-rounder Josh Doctson, have the best group of receivers in the NFL, according to Jamison Crowder.

"Yeah, yeah, we do," Crowder told ESPN 980. "We think that, you know, we're the best in the league. Knowing that we've got guys like (DeSean Jackson), Pierre Garcon, like you said, Jordan Reed, he had a great season last year. We even added Vernon Davis at the tight end, but he's still another weapon that can really help us out in the passing game, and Niles Paul and myself, so we feel like we have a really talented group of receivers. We just have to go out there every day at practice and work on our game -- it starts on the practice field -- and make sure we're on the same page with Kirk or Colt (McCoy) or whoever is playing quarterback, so we'll be ready when the season comes around. The coaches know that we have a really talented group, we know that we have a really talented group, and I really can't wait to get out there and show the world how talented we are."

Crowder caught 59 receptions for 604 yards as a rookie last season.

Kirk Cousins: I'm Going To Get Better

Jun 14, 2016 8:38 PM

Kirk Cousins was a reserve for his first three seasons before taking over as the starter for Washington last season.

Cousins told CSN MidAtlantic that he expects to get better with one year of regular play under his belt.

"I am only going into Year 5 and haven't played a ton of football. But I'm able to grow and still improve as a player. I haven't plateaued—and that's exciting. We'll just keep stacking days on top of each other and see where it takes us," Cousins said.

Washington: Laptop Containing Player Data Was Stolen

Jun 3, 2016 7:19 AM

Washington has confirmed that confidential player data was put at risk for compromise after a laptop computer belonging to an athletic trainer was stolen in April.

In a statement, Washington said a laptop containing player data was stolen from a trainer's locked car on April 19. The laptop was password-protected, but unencrypted. However, Washington stated they "have no reason to believe the laptop password was compromised." In addition, the team said the NFL's electronic medical records system was not impacted by the theft.

"No social security numbers, Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), or financial information were stolen or are at risk of exposure," Washington tated.
